I am so excited to share the commission I’ve finished for Half Brothers Brewing Company!
This was a BIG project. From start to finish it took me about 20 hours. I started with a nice sheet of plywood (Thanks Husband). I don’t know specifically what the plywood is called but I know it was really smooth and cost about $50.00.
I had a lot of latex paint leftover from painting various rooms in my house, so that was mostly what I used. I did go to Lowe’s and get a few sample sized cans for $3.49 each (what a steal!) – but didn’t use much of those.
The biggest challenge was working on a project of this scale. I usually work smaller, with a canvas or paper size no larger than 16 x 20 inches. To help with the process, I drew my image on a piece of paper that I had cut 4 x 8 inches and then used a projector to make it fit onto the 4′ x 8′ piece of plywood.
Brett and I are going to be delivering this piece to Half Brothers Brewing Co tomorrow. I can’t wait to see it in it’s new home!
